Chain Bridge
The winter is coming, and I think it's high time to write details about So I came back to it and tried to remember the details. It was hard...)
As I remember, the main theme we discussed with my friends during our travel time was that in social networks we are sharing only our wins and never mistakes or failures. To change the situation I can honestly tell about a number of fails we had during only two short weeks: some of us failed in love, someone got lost on train station of unknown city, someone was robed... twice, including all staff, money and docments, another one managed to overslept the plane, and everybody, I guess, was suffering from quarrels that we had from time to time. But one the other hand, we all reasoned from this experience, learned from our mistakes and... But if someone didn't overslept the plain, we would never visit Pompei...)
During the holidays I have visited Budapest, twice, Rome, twice, was scared in Napoli and charmed in Pompei.
Before holidays I worked a lot, as everybody in my office. But I was honestly feeling like I'm close to be out of gourd. Spent a lot of phisical and moral efforts, lost 3 kgs in a week, slept only about 4 hours.
For sure I was crazy about my new-year holidays. The night before the plane on automatic pilot I packed my luggage, personal papers, closed the appartment and took a taxi.
The next morning I was in Hungary.
It took about 40 minutes to reach the appartment in the city center from airoport. In the hush of night, enjoing the beauty of decorative lighting of old city. Ferencz Liszt airoport is somewhere on the east, if my topographical cretinism is not playing a low-down trick with me. To reach the place we had cross over the Pest, Duna and blow the Buda. We got across the river by Chain bridge, really breathtaking, decorated by lions and country simbolics (Ksu, if I only saw it before I would never go to see that doubtful "Blue miracle" and never got lost in Germany :)). During the next few days I was told a number of stories about how the city was built, and one of the first was the joke-story about this bridge: it is said that Janos Marschalko, sculptor, forgot to constract the tongues to lions that stand at each of the abutments. And when citizens found this, had jumped to Duna from moral shame. You'd think that no river can be good without drowned.
After some sleep in the appartment I finally woke up and have decided to start my Budapest journey. The first view I saw:
Sunny and beautiful, I mean. Cobblestone pavement of lanes, Barbola of buildings and so and so forth.
Esplanade was not far. There is no need to comment this.

Actually I don't remember much about what I've done or saw during that first day. I remember only one thing. Mateucz, if any chance you read this, that thing is yours unpredictable support to me by Sametime. I do appreciate this.
No matter which way you look at it, the city is warm, generous, full of funny and open-minded people. I spent tree days around all this and managed to catch a lot of good pictures with my camera!

In tree days I saw really not much, but it was time to go to Italy.
I agreed with a friends we'll meet up at Rome central station at 10 o'clock at the morning at 24'th of Dec. Rome met me with a bad wheather and unfriendly prices (euro currency was up high, if you don't remember). I came to station a bit earlier, bought a baked roll, set on my luggage and started waiting.
Ohh, I was waiting for a long! At 10 a.m. I wasn't worry, because I understood, that train might be delayed, but when it was about 11 a.m. and there were no trains from Milano (where my friends were going from) I became really nervous. No of them was answering my calls, in fact, all their phones were turned off.
Couple of hours later I was panicking. Unfortunately, I was so stupid and didn't save the address of the appartment we rented in Rome. The best idea came to my mind is to call to Tomsk, to Phylya. In a desperate hope he will somehow find this lost guys. Sounds really stupid, but it helped.
At the end we all catched up 10 hours later.
What happend after we met, why they were so late and how we reached the Napoli you can find in the next post. And now - some short findings of the situation:
1. A person you trust can offend you and a person you've met before can help you in a complicated situation;2. Even the most responsible person can got lost on the train station or overslept the plane, so there is nothing bad in extra reminder;
3. The simple phrase "Have a good trip \ holidays" can really piss you off;
4. Be really acurate when telling to a friend a story from your life - it can happen to her or him in details;
5. Love is love only when it is mutual;
6. No more pizza and coocies in my life!
